Maker:  Arthur Elliott

Vivid 23.5" by 20.5" framed seascape watercolor by listed artist, Arthur Elliott. Elliott worked as an animator for the Disney Studios until WWII. After the war, in 1949, he established a studio in Paris and then in 1957 relocated to Italy. He had many solo exhibitions in Paris and Rome and on the S.S. Andrea Dorea in 1954. He returned to California in 1983 where he passed away. From his estate and signed on the verso by his widow. In excellent condition.

Maker:  George Biddle

Born to a prominent Philadelphia family, George Biddle gave up the study of law to become an artist. He studied in Europe and the United States and after WWI, in 1928, he traveled to Mexico with Diego Rivera. He became immersed in the issues of social class and poverty and became known as a social realist. This lithograph, signed and dated 1928 is an example of this kind of work. It is titled, 'Hombre! Que sin vergueunza!' which loosely translates to 'Buddy aren't you ashamed of yourself". The framed 23" by 18.75" print is in excellent condition.

Two 14.5" by 13" framed prints from the portfolio of drawings of Serge Lifar (1905-1986), principal dancer and choreographer of the Paris Opera ballet, circa 1920s- 1930s. These prints come from the book, "Serge Lifar" by Georges Augsbourg (1902-1974, Swiss). Only 500 copies of this book were published.

Charming 17.5" by 21" framed limited edition lithograph, "Circular Motion" signed in pencil by noted American artist, Georges Schreiber. It was printed in an edition of 250, circa 1945. Schreiber was born in Belgium in 1904 and moved to New York in 1925. His work is featured in major museums including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of Art. In excellent condition.

PRICE REDUCED: Black and white untitled woodblock, signed in the block by listed artist Harry E. Thompson, circa 1950s. Image size 6" by 8.5". In excellent condition. Thompson exhibited with the National Academy of Design, the Smithsonian and the California Society of Etchers, amongst others. He died in New Hampshire in 1968.
